This Christmas was just all around so much fun! We celebrated our Savior's birth in awesome ways. We attempted to really make it all about baby Jesus this year..with of course..a few gifts included. Santa was discussed but even Santa that we went to see started out by reassuring them that he was not GOD and that Christmas really is about Jesus' birth. Pretty cool huh. Yes, Santa was at Northpark Mall. Just FYI for next year.
Hastings didn't cry and wasn't scared AT ALL..not surprising since he loves to be scared! Those of you who know me...you know that this trait is TOTALLY not inherited by ME! I HATE TO BE SCARED! Lily Grace did finally go and sit with Santa but she was NOT all about him. Bless her, she did inherit the "scared" gene from the Lampley/Watson side of the fam. She is 6 and still not loving Santa. Although, this year was better than the last few...we usually have to leave Santa a NOTE telling him NOT to enter her home and to please leave her gifts outside for mommy and daddy to bring in. The Barnes' crew(Cici, Duh, Brook, Christopher and us) came over to our house for Christmas Eve for opening of gifts and our traditional gumbo, cornbread, salad feast. We had a great Christmas Eve service at church beforehand which we ALL enjoyed..yep even the kiddos. There is no childcare for our Christmas Eve service and aunt Brook was so kind to take LG to the bathroom and then Hastings had to potty also..TWICE.
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, giving, Christ loving family. We LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!Hastings was SO EXCITED about every gift he opened this year. These were the first gifts he opened so he was especially excited to open them.
